Australia Day on the Hawkesbury

Farmer Dave with micThe Hawkesbury is the place to be for Australia Day 2025!

Sunday 26th January 5-9pm at the iconic Governor Phillip Park Windsor is where the fun, excitement and action will be happening. Guest MC Farmer Dave will be back on the mic again this year.

This family friendly event will be the perfect way to enjoy the special day alongside our beautiful river. Admission is free.

There will be plenty to keep everyone happy - an outdoor stage with live entertainment, an impressive line up of food and drink stalls and trucks, carnival rides, free face painting, Emergency Services Displays.

Who doesn’t love a fireworks display? The ever-popular fireworks finale will be the perfect close to a perfect day at 9pm.

New this year will be the Ultimate Cricket Game. Make sure you sign up at the council tent to be part of a team. Competitions will run throughout the event with some cool prizes to be won.

The thong-throwing championship is back for its third year, with junior, adult and emergency services competitions. Just how far can you throw a thong? Will you be the one to claim for the 2025 Golden Thong trophy?

Seating is limited so bring your picnic rugs and folding chairs, stake out your spot and enjoy the festivities. No BYO shade structures. Dogs on lead permitted.
